Very pleasant hotel - highly recommended

The room was spacious, clean, with a small balcony with a marina view, which was very pleasant. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was very easy to get to, there are many parking spaces in the facilities. The surrounds were beautiful with a lighthouse and a small church. There are 2 restaurants, but we only ate at the "capitain's bar" because it was super good (everyone muss try the "bolo do caco").

There is not much to complain, but one thing that could be improved is the breakfast. It could have a little bit more options and better coffee.

The staff are amazing and attentive, the location is fantastic and not too far from Funchal so it’s easy to experience a bit more action . Highly recommend

Luxurious and everything you need with two great restaurants. You have to experience Lordes it’s out of this world .

Great Location and view!

The complex is beautiful. great spa - very profession! . wonderful breakfast. lovely people and helpful. beautiful view. the room was wide and the bed was lovely. the location is very good for the last day before the flight. amazing trips around.

The check in was very long. the condition of the bathroom is not "5 star" at all. low stream in the shower. towels are not in good condition. and we came in a very cold night so it was cold inside the room. but still, It was a lovely apartment with beautiful view and food. just need a little touch up.

Good value for money.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a very good choice of breakfast. The room and its location was great.

Although there was tea/coffee making facility in the room, there was no milk and the initial supply of 2 packs of coffee/tea were not replenished. For the time of the year (February) a indoor heated pool would have been much appreciated.

Gorgeous accommodation and views

We were in a 2 bedroom apartment with fabulous views of the harbour, the lighthouse and the ocean. We had 3 balconies . Breakfast was lovely with a great selection of food.

The air con was not very powerful. There was no bottle opener for mini bar items unless you went to reception and paid a deposit. The main hotel with breakfast area was up a steep hill but you could go in to the car park half way up the hill and then take a lift so that you missed the steepest part of the hill.

I would recommend your hotel

Restaurant Lord was excellent. Food was very tasty and the service very friendly. We have had ever so good restaurant near by our hotel stay. Christmas dinner and brunch were very delicious. Worth of every euro.

The massage I took was not good at all. She touched the body, but did not massage. I reserved and paid for 80 minutes, but the lady stopped 15 minutes before. The bed was a little bit too hard and it got nights to get used to it. One evening my course was gold in Captain snack bar and it might cause my trobles with stomach. It was nice that you had the shuttle bus service to the Funchal. One day there were no room for us. I suggest that this would be possible for everyone who has ordered it before.

We stayed for 2 nights over Christmas, and enjoyed the Gala dinner on Christmas Eve.

We really enjoyed our stay. My wife is a vegetarian, and their gourmet restaurant prepared a fine menu for her. Breakfast was an high-quality buffet, and the staff was really friendly and helpful.

Some areas of the resort area were a bit worn.

What was the highlight of Dreams Madeira Resort Spa & Marina

A very comfortable place for our short stay in December. Excellent Lordes Restaurant.

The dinners in the Lorde restaurant were exceptional - excellent food, wine and service, and not expensive. In contrast, the breakfast buffet was nothing special - a good choice, but let down by tepid food, on cold plates. Part of the problem was that there seemed to be very few people staying in mid December - we never saw more than 10 other people at breakfast, and on several evenings, we were the only diners in the Lorde Restaurant. The hot water heater in our room developed a problem part way through our stay, and we had to change rooms, but the staff were most helpful, and dealt with this very well. These things happen - it's how the hotel handles the matter. Excellent walking in the Ponta de São Lourenço.

The on site shop had little basic stock - no milk one morning - come back tomorrow! Again, maybe a consequence of the low occupation? The whole complex is rather isolated - need a car.

A world at the end of the world

The resort is very huge and has everything you may need. A private marina, private beach, pools, shops, restaurants, tennis, fitness, even a chapel! Reception was very kind and attentive, the location is the absolute stand out as it's the last bit of civilization before Ponta de São Lourenço - great for a hike there. Hotel is 30min by car from Funchal and has free parking. Very rich breakfast buffet with sparkling wine. Rooms huge and comfy, great bathroom w bidet, shower and bathtub. Would come again in summer maybe.

The restaurant I visited did not have any madeiran specialities and was quite basic (didn't feel like a 5 star place). Resort is big and only few people were there so it felt quite deserted at night.. maybe it was bc of the off season
